NLP researcher and technical lead at AI21 Labs, Itay led development of the Jamba 1.5 model family — a hybrid Transformer + Mamba architecture with a 256K context window. He has co-authored research on in-context retrieval-augmented language models and works at the intersection of alignment and language modeling.
